And I Thought I Wasn't Guna Learn Anything Today

Alright so I'm fucked up and.... Don't you just know a good story is about to be told when it starts out like that?

Anyways, so I'm at school bell rings, but we can't leave. Apparently some fat fake cops are here to talk to us about the rights we have when we turn 18. It's not that I don't take these things seriously or think I'm too smart to have learned anything from these presentations over the past four years, but these things really just don't apply to me. He talks about jail, smoking, voting, gambling, and rape. At which point I really wanted to ask Does 50 No's and 1 Yes mean yes? Watch Family Guy.

He goes on and on throwing candy out to those seniors that ask questions thinking that will encourage those of us who share his physical build. At which point I really wanted to ask him is this the job cops that don't pass their physicals get? Then he asks a question that I didn't know the answer to. If you're 18 can you be arrested for drinking a beer in your own house? Naturally, I think well you're under 21 of course you can. Then I think wait who would know? Cops need a search warrant. Cops need a citizen's complaint to step in. Then I get it. There is no law concerning private property, only public property. Yes, you can drink in your own house if you're 18. Yes, you can drink at your buddy's house if you're 18. Just don't step into the street. Get it?

Wait, there's more. I'm already thinking well you probably shouldn't have told a bunch of seniors about to graduate that drinking is legal in the right situation, not like that lack of knowledge was stopping anyone before, but he proceeds on to the topic of weed. When's the last time someone heard the word roach clip used? Maybe the last time I saw someone with a pager? First, he educates us on what a roach clip is. Then tells us smoking pot anywhere is illegal in the state of California, BUT it is too hard to prove that somebody is getting high inside of their own house making it pretty much legal. Yup. That's what I learned today. What did you learn today?
