What it do? Get at me!
While I do not spoil any plot elements of Shutter Island, I am stating my opinion which will probably ruin it for you if you plan to see it.
Alright so Shutter Island is the kinda movie that I knew I wanted to see, but it didn't exactly get me into theaters the same day it came out, ya know? In fact, I was on edge about seeing it in theaters at all, until about 5 minutes before it started. So let me break the dilemma you might be having about going to see it or not. Don't. It is every definition of a "rental" moobie.
Shutter Island had great potential to really explore pyscological aspects with a plot that sounded great on paper and Leonardo DiCaprio at the helms. Unfortunately, all my expectations were let down. No, this movie wasn't scary, nor did it terrorize the darkest corridors of my mind. As hard as I tried to get cozy in the creepy blanket the atmosphere of the movie tried to wrap me in, I just couldn't get lost in it. The moobie really drops the ball when it builds up to what I think will be climaxes, but fails to finish. (Lux knows what that feels like) If you like thrilling chases, good fight scenes, and an evolving story with a dramatic resolution like I do then you will be disappointed with Shutter Island for half assing all three of those.
At points I believed Leonardo DiCaprio's acting, but the other half of the time it was the mind fuck plot that was poorly executed or just bad acting that ruined it at the most fundamental level. The ending is not just a lighthouse for everybody who keeps saying that, but really that's what it might as well have been. The ending is really DiCaprio's last conversation which is just void of emotions and then a cut to the broken lighthouse which is a symbol of the loss of light in the engulfing darkness around DiCaprio's character. Do I want to say DiCaprio was bad? Do I want to say the movie was bad? No, it was just ok. The producers/director/writers really squandered the potential this motion picture had. It's a shame.
Overall the moobie is definitely still a trip. So if you have nothing better to do go see it faded, I'm sure you'll have a better time watching it then I did. You'd be better of watching Percy Jackson And The Lightning Thief. I'm not joking either!

I Disagree With This Review. I Thought Shutter Island Was A Great Movie. A Bit Long, But A Ok Story With A Good Ending. Not Your Average Hollywood Movie. Would I Pay For It? No. Not For Any Movie For That Matter. I Get All My Flicks Bootleg -_^

I'm not saying it was a bad movie, but I think it definitely was far from a good movie. Every part of it left me wanting more in a bad way. Like when he's in ward C, the chase scene blew, the fight scene blew, and the climax was a conversation with another patient? I'm just saying they could have done a lot more with it.

Dim Mak did not produce the porno- BurningAngel did. The video was ripped and stolen and put on a tube site- although I got it taken down so it's not there anymore.
